KALE

  • Dwarf Blue Curled - 30 days baby, 56 days mature, Open Pollinated. The most commonly grown kale variety, dense frilly finely curled blue-green leaves on compact upright 12-16" plants stand well, maintain color and resist yellowing in cold and heat.

  • Lacinato - 45+ days, Heirloom, Dark blue-green to black leaves often have a heavily crinkled texture. A cold-hardy vegetable, kale leaves sweeten after frost. In northern regions, leave a few plants in the garden to harvest after the snow flies.

  • Redbor - 55 days, Frilly deep purple-red leaves. Redbor kale offers a mild cabbage-like flavor and crisp texture. When cooked it becomes tender and nutty with a mild earthy sweetness.

  • Red Russian - 50 days, Flat-leaf leaves are dark green with purple stems. This tender leafed kale can grow to 2-3' tall and has a mild, sweet flavor. It can be grown as a spring and early fall crop.

  • Winterbor - 60 days, The plants are tall, growing up to 2-3' with excellent yield and good cold hardiness. The ruffled blue-green leaves have and attractive curl. Vigorous plants will continue growing to produce leaves for successive harvest as the lower leaves are harvested. Tolerant of frost and snow.

  • Mixed Kale

  • Bright Lights - 60 days, Electric yellows, pinks, crimsons, oranges, purples, whites, and green stems. Heat-tolerant. Can be harvested through fall.
